Time4Learning 1st day

Hi, We are a virtual home schooling family. This is our first year with Georgia Cyber Academy (GCA). When I saw the opportunity to try out Time4Learning for free for 30 days, I jumped on it. I have heard many families talking about Time4Learning and how they love it. We are using Time4Learning to supplement the K12 curriculum we are currently using. He is struggling with receptive language skills and phonics. I am hoping that working with this program will allow him a little more independence with learning to read. My goal is to have him reading fluently before 1st grade. I feel like he is falling behind and something has to be done.

Today was my sons 1st day of Time4Learning. He hated every minute of it but it is because he already knows the content being taught. The LA starts out teaching the letters and how they are related to print and the parts of a book. I think this is a wonderful first activity for students that are just starting out. This is something my little guy learned in PreK and we have continued to reinforce this skill all year. I wish we had started using Time4Learning at the beginning of the year. I decided to start using Time4Learning from the beginning so that if my son missed an important concept this year he will pick it up. My 2nd grade daughter hasn't started using the program as of yet but I hope to get her started soon. She is learning multiplication but she is still struggling with being fluent in addition and subtraction. We will see how it goes. Well that is it for today I will keep posting so everyone will know how my children are doing with the Time4Learning Lessons.

  1. I am happy to hear that your family is enjoying T4L! It is a wonderful resource to be used ion its own or as a supplement, like you are doing. I also started my kids at the beginning when we started with T4L so that they could do a thorough review before moving on and it worked for us!
